The action camera maker has delayed the launch of Hero 5, which has effected its stock in a negative manner.
GoPro Inc reported a couple of weeks back that it will be postponing the update on GoPro Hero 5, leaving the fans of the action camera rather disappointed. However, even after the alleged month, news suggests that the camera maker might still not be prepared to bring the new installment into action, while it is also rumored that this might now be done next year in 2016. Previously, the company reported that it will be releasing the new camera in the last fiscal quarter of the year which elevated sentiments not only of the fans, but also of the analysts who were bullish towards the giant in the past.
According to GoPro news, it was seen that the action camera maker is making efforts to look after the needs of the fans who have been disappointed yet again with the re-delay of the release of the new camera model. Analysts are of the opinion that this is also going to put the investor sentiment down by a huge difference. Following the announcement, the result of the delay was clearly seen to affect the stock value of the company which went through an eminent dip by the end of the session.
However, GoPro management is also looking at the delay in a different manner. As per a report by Ecumenical News, the camera making giant believes that this postponement of the launch of Go Pro Hero 5 is going is expected to increase excitement of the fans and by the time it is actually released, the fans will rush to get their hands on the new gadget before anyone else. The management believes that this is possible as it will be adding some great new features and options to the camera and will take advantage of the delay in a positive way.
The new camera is also predicted to be incorporated with not only an improved resolution but an HD quality good enough to capture videos and pictures with a massive 8k resolution. Another interesting feature of the Hero 5 gadget is the fact that the users will be able to make videos underwater with it, as the company is working on making its ability to survive under water even better. Rumors suggest that the camera will be designed in such a manner that it will be able to film under the water, going deeper than 60 meters inside.
The expected price of the product is to come around $550 while there are also speculation which suggests that the price might come down in accordance with the competition is already has available in the market.
